Hambleton Roofing originally undertook flat roofing using the traditional hot laid, built up, bituminous felt systems progressing through advances in felt technology via polyester felts to highly flexible torch on felts. However due to the associated problems with this type of material, ie naked flames and the health and safety aspects we have moved away from this type of flat roof system. We now specialise in two highly advanced flat roof systems that we feel provide an excellent product for clients. We are approved installers for both these systems which offer extended manufacturers guarantee. Hertalan EPDM roof membrane is a single ply roof that can be manufactured by Hertalan at their premises to a size to suit the roof area. There are numerous ways of fixing the EPDM membrane and Hertalan provide an excellent technical and sales back up direct to any client.
The photographs below give you an example of the range of work that can be undertaken using Hertalan EPDM.

Hambleside Danelaw Dryseal GRP is a rigid component system suitable for industrial and domestic flat or low pitched roofing. It can be used for new builds or to upgrade or refurbish existing roofs. The system components can cope with the most intricate roof detail and can be installed on any recognised rigid roofing grade board or insulation. The company offers a labour and material guarantee of 25 years for the Dryseal GRP System.
Dryseal is a cold applied system, reducing the health and safety risks associated with traditional flat roofing systems. It forms a continuous membrane over the roof and can be used to waterproof tank rooms, walls and parapets. In most refurbishment applications Dryseal can be laid over the existing roof covering, saving on disposal costs and environmental pollution. The system has a life expectancy of at least 30 years. Dryseal has been awarded Agre'ment Certificate No 95/3114. Hambleside Danelaw is a BS EN ISO 9001:2000 registered company.
Over the years we have been associated with Dryseal we have found it to be an extremely adaptable system suitable for a large variety of work. We think the samples below indicate this.

PITCHED ROOFS THAT SHOULD BE FLAT
We are increasingly being requested to correct faults on roofs that have pitched roof coverings laid to an inappropriate slope i.e. too flat. Many people have had flat roofs changed to a pitched tiled roof with disastrous results due to poor construction work. However it can be achieved if undertaken correctly, the photos below indicates a bungalow that had a flat roof extension that the client wanted to incorporate with the main roof design when it was re-roofed. The tiles to the old flat roof area are laid well below the recommended pitch but because we have incorporated a flat roof membrane design below the tiles we can guarantee the work. We can explain the system if required.
